Daniela Cassetta attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she earned her Bachelor's in Fine Arts in 2021 and her Master's of Art in Teaching in 2022. She has been professionally teaching for 4 years through the School District of Philadelphia. She is currently an Elementary Art Teacher for grades K-8 for W.C Bryant Elementary in West Philadelphia.
Daniela is a multimedia artist who specializes in painting. She loves to explore new ways of creating art whenever she can. Daniela often creates artwork inspired by her day-to-day life as a practice of reflection. She plays with texture, color, and proportions to create playful worlds on her canvas. Daniela especially loves to explore color, it is her favorite element to not only teach about, but use within her own artwork. She believes being intentional with every choice she makes in her artwork is essential for making successful artwork. She believes teaching students about intentionality and reflection, even through small details like color, will create future confident problem-solvers.
Daniela grew up in Queens, New York. She spent her high school years in New Jersey. Growing up living in city environments shaped who she is. It made her passionate about her community and contributing to it. It elevated the amazing effects that art does for community and togetherness. As she lived and worked in cities, she made it a priority to always help add positive growth to any community that she encounters. Working as a teacher, this belief has only strengthened.
Daniela’s largest goal is to inspire the next generation of artists and free thinkers while continuing to make artwork that is reflective of herself. She will continue her personal artistic practice in order be an example of a working artist, the likes of whom she hopes to inspire her students with. Her career in the arts is split between giving back to her community and creating personal artwork.
